MY LATEST RESEARCH
My first book, The Function of Sublime Rhetoric in Hebrews: A Study in Hebrews 12:18– 29, will appear in the series, Wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zum Neuen Testament, published by Mohr Siebeck.
My article, "Gestures to the Priesthood: Exploring Jesus's Priestly Function in 1 John" will appear in Review and Expositor 114. I was invited to submit an article for this issue honoring Dr. Alan Culpepper.
"(Religious) Language and the Decentering Process: McNamara and De Sublimitate on the Ecstatic Effect of Language," Journal for Cognitive Historiography 2 (2015): 53–65. This article considers the role of language in religious experience.
